Can I get a Blue Card without a university degree?
Generally you need a recognised university degree. The exception is IT specialists, who can qualify with at least three years of relevant professional experience at academic level gained within the last seven years, even without a degree.
How do I get my degree recognised for the Blue Card?
Your degree must appear as recognised in the ANABIN database, or you obtain a Statement of Comparability from the Central Office for Foreign Education (ZAB). This recognition step is where most Blue Card applications stall, so start it early.
How long must my job contract be?
You need an employment contract or binding job offer with a term of at least six months that meets the applicable salary threshold for your track.
